Equality?... thu

The notion of equality has led to some truly inspirational speeches and writings. Entire generations of thinkers, politicians, philosophers and commen men have been influenced by the idea of equality. Equality of all men, the brotherhood of man, the commonality that exists among all men, men being born equal under god - i spit upon these notions. The idea of equality has a certain charm and whimsically humane notion to it. It is the kind of ideal that urges men to make movies, write books, make speeches and other activities, all designed to bring about a dull faintly amorous glow, or should i say a halo. Men use this halo to procreate their self esteem. This is their soothing tonic, the orgasmic balm that soothes men's minds and leads them to believe that their life is worth something. The herald of reason is decried as an usurer and the multitudes fall sway to the faint music that is the promise of self worth.

Equality is a notion, an ideal, a desperate belief that's sadly the work of sunshine men who know not the passion and cool beauty of the elegantly attired moon. Men are born unequal. This is the way of the world. Some men live to serve, to partake of menial fruit, to sow mere grain, to toil at the field and provide food to the others and be paid a pittance in return. Is it beyond the capacity of many men to aspire to a higher station in life? The answer is an unequivocal YES. The sooner the propoganda about equality is dispensed with, the better. Society has survived for so long on the basis of unequality. The caste system when it served its purpose, and its successor, division of labour all point to the stranglehold that inequality has on us. Not that I complain.

Youre notion of equality is not the one that I think of.
In a world where the answer to the question: Can a menial worker aspire to a higher post? is "YES", there IS equality.
In a world where the answer to the same question is NO, there is NO equality. Cause then they have a CHANCE to be equal. Then it is only their fallacies that dont allow them to rise high in life.
Not the fallacies of a group they have been stereotyped to.
And I CANNOT complain.
Though the point you make is true, the world runs on inequality. We cant have a feasible equal world.
My point= some people CANNOT "grow" in life. And you said everyone can. Thats all.

The whole point of my post is that some people must be satisfied with their station in life because they are naturally inferior compared to others. The most that the inferior multitudes can do is 'aspire' to a higher post. Can they actually achieve it? No. So i agree that it is inequality that is prevelant in this world and it is inequality that binds society together. I have a problem with the phenomenon of sugar coating this inequality and propogandising the greatness of 'equality'.

I have a problem with it too, I must say.
As long as we agree that some people cannot grow in life, I have nothing to add.
Except that we should kill the damn idiots who clamour for "Equality".
Jackasses, the world is as equal as it needs to be.
We will never live in a positive world.
Negativity is rampant, and I am happy for it.

there cannot be any equality. period.
there will always be the strong who prey on the weak. the rich on the poor. the opposites on the other opposites. it's the fundamental Law of Life. Greed and Jealousy always prevail in the end.
if it could actually exist, why is it that we don't idolize Karl or Che?
there's a good book which portrays it all very very well. Animal Farm by George Orwell

The most brilliant feature of this book is its realism. The cute lil sheep do not win at the end, but instead the powerful, cunning and strong win, mirroring the state of human society. I love the last line.
